    4TH PASTROLIST LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

    December 8, 2024 @ 8:00 am - December 10, 2024 @ 5:00 pm
Wajir Girls High School Wajir County, Wajir County, Wajir, Kenya

The Pastoralist Leadership Summit (PLS) serves as a unique policy engagement platform that unites national and county political leadership to address the pressing needs of the pastoralist people in Kenya. The 4th PLS summit will be held in Wajir Town from December 8th to 10th, 2024. Since its inception in 2015, three PLS leadership conferences have been successfully conducted, leading to notable outcomes such as formulating various pro-pastoralist policies and legislation.
This year’s summit theme is “Unlocking Policy and Financial Bottlenecks to Maximize Pastoralism Potential in Kenya.” The goal is to influence policy reforms to address critical development gaps and tackle financial bottlenecks hindering investment and development in Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL) regions.
